Thanks to the teaching I received at Artquarium, I'm much more aware, in my everyday life, that we live in a world of shapes, colors and perspectives. The principles of form equivalence, rhythmic structure and color analysis, for example, have made me realize that painting is also the art of thinking about how elements are organized in space.
As a result, I've learned to rack my brains more deeply to understand the language of painting, and thus to appreciate it more fully! Artquarium opened the door to a much more complex, refined and fascinating world than I had imagined.
I was often even shocked when analyzing paintings, because the contrast between what you see first, and why you see it is so marked, almost to infinity! What's more, when I was putting together my application for the ECAL, Gilbert gave me advice and his opinion on my photographic work. He also helped me choose some of the drawings I was going to show them.
This was clearly beneficial, as my application was accepted.
In short, Artquarium is the privilege of discovering another world, another dimension, totally unsettling and unsuspected.
