This year at Artquarium has been rich in discovery. I discovered a world where shapes have activity and colors have weight. The structures can even be mobile.
I learned that a painting could be decoded if you knew the keys, that it had a front door, rhythms and sometimes even ghost shapes! A whole world I never knew existed.
In the studio, we rub shoulders with the ever-smiling Voltaire, Cézanne, who dares to use parallels to create movement, and Poussin... and Picasso... and even the Egyptians with the golden ratio! What a gallery!
In the eyes of such grandmasters, although the road is long and difficult, the sensitivity developed and the pleasure experienced, regardless of the result, are already a reward.
It has to be said that Gilbert, our teacher, has the art of teaching with humor, patience, rigor and sensitivity to each individual's rhythm.
What more can you expect from a painting workshop?
